Rosenstigen is named after a rose found in monastery environments, Rosa alba ‘Gudhem’. A nature trail, about 2 km, through a cultural landscape that tells the story of how people have lived here for thousands of years.
Hammars kvarn – Varnhems monastery mill
Hammars kvarn was the latest name of this mill originally constructed by the monks of Varnhem. There is a hand made canal leading to the sight of the mill. The mill had a miller until the beginning of the 1920’s.
