Rosenstigen is named after a rose found in monastery environments, Rosa alba ‘Gudhem’. A nature trail, about 2 km, through a cultural landscape that tells the story of how people have lived here for thousands of years.
The home of the sexton was during the second half of the 19th century located on Kyrkogatan. The building housed a series of sextons before it was sold to Varnhem’s parish to accommodate the primary school in 1876. In 1951 the house was inhabited by cantor Lönnkvist and his wife Diana Apelqvist. They lived here until the house was demiloshed in 1967.
