Rosenstigen is named after a rose found in monastery environments, Rosa alba ‘Gudhem’. A nature trail, about 2 km, through a cultural landscape that tells the story of how people have lived here for thousands of years.
It is not difficult to imagine that this house still contains remains from the original cottage that was located here before 1850. The cottage was rebuilt in 1901, and in the beginning of the 1930’s another floor was added. In 2018 it was extended to the west and an old outhouse became the new garage. This part of Överbo Smedsgården has been owned by the same family since 1852.
