Rosenstigen is named after a rose found in monastery environments, Rosa alba ‘Gudhem’. A nature trail, about 2 km, through a cultural landscape that tells the story of how people have lived here for thousands of years.
Ulunda limestone quarry is dated back to 1830 and was then located near Hammaren. In 1904, when the railway between Skövde and Axvall was built, there was a railway construction connecting the quarry with the station in Varnhem. The quarry was closed down in 1957.
