Rosenstigen is named after a rose found in monastery environments, Rosa alba ‘Gudhem’. A nature trail, about 2 km, through a cultural landscape that tells the story of how people have lived here for thousands of years.
For several decades the old farmhouse Klosterdahl was named Borregården, but got its new name in 1885 when Varnhem’s parish bought it. In 1891 the miller August Gustafsson bought it, repared it and turned it into a shop. In 1917 the parish bought it back and turned it into an elemenary school. Today it is a hostel called Klostergårdens vandrarhem.
