Rosenstigen is named after a rose found in monastery environments, Rosa alba ‘Gudhem’. A nature trail, about 2 km, through a cultural landscape that tells the story of how people have lived here for thousands of years.
To the east you can see a variation of graves from the bronze- and iron ages. One of the graves is a women’s grave from around year 100 AD. Findings from the grave include a gold charm, silver buckles, hair pins, domestic cats and greyhounds, and this suggests contact with the Roman Empire.
South of Sörgården there are several iron age graves that are clearly visible. The farms in the area buried their dead ones here for generations before christianity came to the area around year 900 AD and new traditions took over.
