Rosenstigen is named after a rose found in monastery environments, Rosa alba ‘Gudhem’. A nature trail, about 2 km, through a cultural landscape that tells the story of how people have lived here for thousands of years.
The church stable in Varnhem has had several different locations over the years. In the 18th century it was located close to the church entrance. Its last purpose before it was torn down was to serve as public toilets. When it was demolished in the 1970’s, several medieval findings were made. These findings have been marked and can still partially be seen.
