This will bring up a 3D model of the silver spoon found during excavations for the construction of the old library opposite Skara Cathedral. The spoon is called the Katarina spoon. The handle of the spoon is designed as Mary with the child, and underneath is a lying deer. The pear-shaped spoon bowl is engraved with the image of St. Catherine with a sword and wheel. Catherine was a royal daughter from Alexandria who was martyred in the 4th century. She was widely worshiped in Sweden during the Middle Ages and celebrated throughout the Skara diocese on November 25th. In Skara, there was a Franciscan monastery named after her, as well as a guild. The spoon can be seen at the Västergötland Museum
